In the 1st girls game of the night, Brashear faced off against Atlanta. The game was close throughout the 1st half with Brashear leading 9-8 after one quarter and 21-19 at the half. The 2nd half was also close all the way with Brashear leading 39-37 after 3 quarters and winning 50-45. Brashear had a trio of players in double figures. Hailee Kelsey and Christina Scudder had double-doubles with 16 and 15 points, Caroline Slavin had 10, Jessi Hill had 6, and Emily Ladwig scored 3 points. Atlanta was led by Nicole Sloan with 13, Beth Voss had 11, Tiffany Watson scored 9, Katelyn Wiggins added 6 points, Tricia Pore had 4, and Cassie Graham scored 2 points.
In the 2nd game, the Marion County boys jumped out to a 14-9 lead after one quarter, then extended the lead to 26-14 at the half. Brashear battled back in the 3rd quarter closing the deficit to 35-30, then pulled within 1 point in the final minutes of the game, but couldn't gain the lead and Marion County held on for the 51-47 win. Ryan Ferdig, Kale Watson, and Trae Treasure were in double figures for Brashear with 16, 13, and 11 points. Justin Hazen added 4, Kiley Watson had 2, and Matt Thomas scored 1 point. Marion County was led by Nathan Meyers with 19 points, Dakota Bainter had 15, Austin Redd had 6, Ben Hirner added 4, Josh Hirner had 3, and Justin Tobias and Ryan Sharpe scored 2 points each.
